2. First run for public office
3. Cape Coral Association of Realtors Forum: Crowds don’t bother career broadcaster and District 5 candidate Carlos E. Alvarez, who is making his first run for elected office. “I’m a broadcaster. I’m a communicator. I’m not going to be scared because I’m going to meet people. I’m curious to find out how people are going to treat me,” Alvarez said.
4. N-P Forum Comments: Here are my definite choices for discard - District 5, Alvarez

1. King’s BFF
2. I also believe that Ms. Erbrick is a RAG
3. Socialized with Rana Erbrick a couple of times and her politics are definitely in line with the RAGs
4. Reliable source shared with me that Ebrick is the neighbor of Mr. King
5. Rana Erbrick, friend of King
6. Mrs. Erbrick last week acknowledged that she had been a neighbor of the Kings
7. Advised multiple times she fully believed Schwing should have been selected as City Manager
8. Honest in her appraisal of the current council, and certain supporters of the majority (with whom she has little confidence)
9. I just did not get the sense that the concerns expressed [about Erbrick] have strong merit
10. Erbrick still seems a might "chummy" towards King, but one could mark that up as a sign of a civil nature. . . maybe. My question, " Will you support termination of King as CM, if elected?"
11. There is a kick-off Meet & Greet for Erbrick set for Anthony's on the Blvd (Note: Known RAG hangout)
12. Finance Advisory Committee member and City Hall volunteer.
13. BTW, wonder why Erbrick was seen hanging with King. Probably planning her Anthony's BBQ!
14. From N-P: “Rana Erbrick, a member of the city's Financial Advisory Committee and a District 5 council candidate, encouraged the council to set the tax rate at $8.22. That could bring in an additional $2 million, she said. The FAC, however, voted 4-3 Monday against recommending that rate.”
15. "I was quoted in the News-Press on July 19 as favoring a higher tax millage rate for Cape Coral of $8.22. I want to make it clear that I am not in favor a tax increase, but only want the City Council keep this option available as they move through the budget process."
16. From the July 18 Council Workshop tape, starting at 3:43:16, during Citizens’ Input: “I’m here tonight to encourage you to set the rollback rate at the 8.2208 . . . let’s start off with the 8.2208; I’m suggesting and encouraging you to start tonight at the 8.2208.”
17. First run for elected office, deputy supervisor Harrison Township, MI township supervisor
18. Cape Coral Financial Advisory Committee, past president New Residents Club, Citizens Academy, Community Emergency Response Team, Police Volunteer Unit
19. Erbrick said she was compelled to run, in large part, because of the way city council members treat each other and the public. With “no voice of reason” on the dais, she said, there’s little chance of moving the city forward in any positive way.
20. Cape Coral Association of Realtors Forum: “Our Economic Development Office does a great job for the number of people in it,” said Rana Erbrick of District 5. Find out more about what the office needs, Erbrick said. The city might find opportunities in universities or a teaching hospital and with incentives.
21. N-P Forum Comments: Erbrick reminded us how she was one of two females running, I just love being informed of the obvious.
22. Rosko Review: Basically, anything she can do to improve the city, but no commitment on anything specific. Rana Erbrick stated raise the millage to the roll back rate. [Her] rationale was that you would not pay more in taxes.

13. N-P Forum Comments: Candidate Richard Leon...homegrown Cape Coral citizen, very good grasp on all issues...looking forward to see Cape Coral blossom again for the future. No "on-the-fence" answers to his questions either. Many of the elders in attendance nodding in approval of his platform. IMHO very good choice.
14. N-P Forum Comments: Leon was a breath of fresh air for the citizens.
15. Rosko Review: Stand with the businesses on front line. UEP must start up and move forward. Give tax breaks to businesses.

12. N-P Forum Comments: Let's take a look at District 5 .....Scott Morris was very well spoken, personable, community involved, many eyes and ears were drawn to attention when he spoke of his position on the questions and issues. No "wishy-washy" answers, direct and to the point..IMHO excellent choice, no BS! Active community involvement and integrity. Great connection and smiles from very large percentage of audience.
